I love shooting manual focus lenses (AI, AIs, Zeiss, etc.) on my D7000 but it's not always that easy to get 100% accurate focus through the viewfinder. Live View also works I suppose, but I'm after that old school (film days) method where some kind of prism in the viewfinder screen helps you attain accurate focus, every time.

Has anyone on the forum ever invested in a replacement focusing screen for the d7000 (or other Nikon) with a split prism or microprism collar? I.e. something like an Intenscreen or a model from KatzEye (in the States). If so, did it work to your expectation?

Just wondering.

Thanks guys.
